Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Sketchy Friends (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Sketchy Friends is a multiplayer party game where players write text prompts that are used to generate AI caricatures of their friends. The App requires an internet connection and an Apple ID for authentication.

3. Account and Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions and Credits

• Sketchy Friends offers a free first game for new users.
• After the free game, hosting games requires credits, which are available through a monthly subscription.
• Only the game host needs credits. Players who join a game do not need a subscription.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Credits are granted at the start of each billing period and do not roll over to the next period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

5. User Content and Conduct

You are responsible for all content you submit, including text prompts and profile photos. You agree not to:

• Submit content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory.
• Attempt to generate inappropriate, illegal, or harmful images.
• Use the App to bully, harass, or demean other players.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or exploit the App.

We reserve the right to moderate content and ban users who violate these guidelines. Prompts that are flagged by content moderation systems may result in a “Penalty Box” consequence within the game.

6. AI-Generated Content

• Images are generated by third-party AI services based on user-submitted prompts.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.
• Generated images are intended for entertainment purposes only.
• You may save generated images to your device for personal use and sharing.
• You may not use generated images for commercial purposes without permission.

7. Intellectual Property

The Sketchy Friends name, logo, and App design are our intellectual property. User-generated prompts remain the property of their authors. AI-generated images are provided for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Disclaimers

• The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
• We are not responsible for AI-generated content that may be inaccurate or offensive despite our content moderation efforts.
• We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sketchy Friends and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
